National Aviation Day 2023

August 19th is a U.S. national observation that celebrates the development of aviation. Established in 1939 by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, National Aviation Day commemorates Orville Wright’s birthday. This special day inspires annual air shows in major cities across America including Chicago, Atlantic City, Cleveland, New York, and many more. 

How will you celebrate National Aviation Day? The Kool Kat Science team challenges YOU to a paper airplane contest!

 Do you have a favorite design that is tested and true? In our research, we found Jeremy Anderberg’s “How to Make the World’s Best Paper Airplanes” My grandson and I decided to prove his claim. We were astonished at the results! Can your design beat the mighty “Hammer?” Send us your photos and data. The team with the best paper airplane will win a copy of the award-winning book, Ultimate Paper Airplanes for Kids!
