Toledo Youth Program

2023-24 Youth, Engagement, Development
and Mentoring Program Grant

Kool Kat Science is a program partner for the City of Toledo 2023-24 Youth, Engagement, Development, and Mentoring Program. This program offers low and no-cost activities to Toledo youth. The 2023-24 program began June 1, 2023 and ends May 31, 2024. Kool Kat Science is offering a mini-version of our STEM Rookie classes in a 12-week series of one-day workshops called TLCPL STEM Adventures.

TLCPL STEM Adventures is a hybrid STEM program that combines engineering, coding, and robotics. Classes meet weekly for 90 minutes at Sanger Library. The sessions are organized into three sections: four engineering-focused Maker sessions, four programming-focused Coder sessions, and four introductory Robotics sessions. Every session will be a single, free-standing workshop. Students are encouraged to attend every session in a section. Those who finish all projects in a section receive a valuable prize and a certificate.
