STEM Tech 2023 Starts Soon

Is there a child in your life who likes tech and loves to build stuff?

STEM Tech provides a group environment where a caring adult and child can have fun, build STEM skills, and grow together as a team. This group is designed for kids in grades 4-7. Each kid attends with an adult teammate, i.e., parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, or mentor. The adult team member is not optional.

The fourth semester of STEM Tech starts 1/24/2023, and registration is open until 2/10/2023. This semester, the STEM Tech teams continue working with Arduino kits and learning a new coding language, C++. Weekly meetings are 90 minutes long and include a short Bible lesson.

Each child/adult team will need the following supplies for the fall semester:

1. An Arduino Uno starter kit ELEGOO UNO Project Super Starter Kit,

2. Access to a laptop or Chrome book (we have 12 laptops available for classroom use)

3. The ability to set up a free web account for Tinkercad, Arduino, and Google Classroom.

At least one person on the team, either an adult or a kiddo, should have beginner-level coding experience in Scratch, Python, VBA, etc.

To enroll in the group, contact Dave Schoeff at 419-540-1867 or visit the Cedar Creek Groups page. To find our group, filter on West Toledo Campus and click select the Children topic.

This class is offered by Kool Kat Science, an Ohio based STEM training service
