2023-24 Youth, Engagement, Development
and Mentoring Program

Kool Kat Science is a program partner for the City of Toledo 2023-24 Youth, Engagement, Development, and Mentoring Program. This program offers low and no-cost activities to Toledo youth. The 2023-24 program starts June 1, 2023 and ends May 31, 2024. Kool Kat Science is offering a mini-version of STEMTech called STEMTech 2024.

STEMTech 2024 is a hybrid STEM program that combines Engineering, Coding, and Robotics in a 13 week program. Classes meet weekly for two hours at Sanger Library. The sessions are organized into three sections: four Engineering sessions, five Coding sessions, and four Robotics sessions. Every session is a single, free-standing project. Students are encouraged to attend every session in a section. Those who finish all projects in a section receive a valuable prize and a certificate.

STEM Engineering

STEM Engineering is a 4-session course for kids who like to build things. The class is open to grades 3 – 6 and meets Thursday evenings (6-8pm) at Sanger Library.

Dates: Jan 25, 2024 – Feb 15, 2024.

STEM Coding is a 5-session course for kids interested in building their own video games. The class is open to grades 3 – 6 and meets Thursday evenings (6-8pm) at Sanger Library.

STEM Robotics

STEM Robotics is a 4-session course where kids combine their building and coding skills to assemble and program a real robot car. The class is open to grades 3 – 6 and meets Thursday evenings (6-8pm) at Sanger Library.

Dates: Apr 11,2024 – May 2, 2024.
