Magnet Cars and Racetracks

Emmanuel Christian School hosted the Kool Kats for two weeks of STEM fun during their KidVenture Summer Camp in July 2022. The K-2 kids spent a week learning exploring Magnetism – the Invisible Force. They conducted experiments to determine magnet strength and learned about magnetic poles. Using their new understanding, they designed and built magnet cars. Then they built racetracks for their cars. Each track was laid out so it was exactly 2 meters long and featured obstacles and decorations.

There were plenty of engineering challenges along the way, but the kids and tracks were great. Thanks again to ECS and KidVenture staff and parents for a great week.
